Ms. Arefin, who holds an MBA from Duke University, is a leading entrepreneur with recognized successes in strategic planning and business development for high-growth start-ups and Fortune 100 companies.
Ashfaq is a serial entrepreneur technologist; Founded revolutionary technology platforms for companies ranging from startups to multi billion dollar companies. An engineer from Microsoft in Redmond; played the chief scientist and founding technologist roles in a number of successful companies masterminding key inventions. Holds many software patents. He attended graduate school in computer science at Columbia University and UPenn (University of Pennsylvania).
After moving to Seattle, Sabira's busy life didn't allow opportunities to meet her neighbors. Realizing there were many others in the same situation, she decided to create a social network site to connect neighbors with each other and build an online neighborhood.
Besides providing opportunities to share information, LocalBlox connects neighbors to a myriad of local resources, including businesses, professional services, and community activities.
